8th Annual Norwood Racing Reunion to be Held Sunday

The event will start at 9 a.m. at Bezema Motors on Route 1.

The annual celebration of the closed Norwood Arena will be held this Sunday, June 3 at Bezema Motors on the Automile.

The quarter-mile, NASCAR-sanctioned track was torn down in 1972 to make way for the current industrial park, and race fans and racing alumni return to Norwood each year to celebrate the sport they love.

According to the WhoWon.com racing website, the late Martin Bezema, Sr., raced at Norwood Arena for many years, and this event is a tribute to him and the other competitors.
