Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra To Perform In Norwood
The concert, open only to Norwood residents, is being held on June 26 in honor of the town's 150th anniversary.

NORWOOD, MA – General Manager Tony Mazzucco and the Town of Norwood, along with the Norwood 150th Committee, on Tuesday morning announced a special performance by the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra in Norwood as part of the town’s 150th anniversary celebration on Sunday, June 26.
Tickets are free, and the concert is open to Norwood residents only. Gates will open at 1 p.m. for the 4 p.m. show, which is expected to last for two hours. It will take place on the Norwood Town Common and adjoining Central Street.
Tickets can be reserved online beginning Saturday, June 11 at 9 a.m. on the Norwood Recreation Department’s MyRec site. Residents planning to register for tickets are encouraged to make an account on the MyRec site before June 11 to prevent any delay in reserving tickets. Tickets for the performance are limited, and residents will be allowed only four tickets per household.

A ticket receipt will be emailed to the address provided. Residents who register for tickets are able to pick up their physical tickets at the Morrill Memorial Library at 33 Walpole St. starting Monday, June 13 at noon until Saturday, June 18 at 5 p.m. Residents must bring the emailed ticket receipt to the library along with proof of residency in order to receive the tickets. Tickets must be picked up by 5 p.m. on June 18 or they may be forfeited so that other residents may attend.
On the day of the performance, tickets will be checked at the gates, and no entry will be allowed without a physical ticket. Email receipts will not be accepted for entrance.

The viewing area on the Common and adjacent roads will be gated on June 26. All belongings left on the Town Common prior to 1 p.m. will be removed. Attendees are strongly encouraged to walk to the Common as there will be limited parking.
