Two Men Arrested for Attempted Larceny

Two men from Mattapan were arrested early Saturday morning for attempted larceny in the Boch Honda storage lot on Morse St.

Norwood Police arrested two men Saturday morning for attempted larceny in the Boch Honda storage lot on Morse St.

Darius Morris, 31, and Chad Talbert, 25, both of Mattapan, were charged with possession of burglarious tools, attempted larceny and trespassing. Morris was additionally charged with furnishing a false name.

"Morris’s true identity was learned after he had been fingerprinted using Automated Fingerprint Identification System," a statement from the Norwood Police read.

At 2:10 a.m., Norwood Police received a call for suspicious activity at the storage lot. The caller stated that two male subjects exited a white motor vehicle after parking in the rear corner of the property. When officers arrived on scene, both subjects fled on foot.

One suspect, later identified as Morris, was located by Officer Derek Wennerstrand and Edward J Farioli. Minutes later Talbert was located walking on Route 1 by Officer Matthew O’Brien.

Both subjects were scheduled to be arraigned Monday at Dedham District Court.
