Dedham Police: Norwood Man Blows Red Lights, Evades Cops Before Arrest

At 1:27 a.m., Sunday, officer Kenneth Ellis pursued a Ford Mustang that sped an estimated 70 mph on Providence Highway, heading northbound, blowing through a red light near the entrance to the Dedham Plaza.

Ellis chased the Mustang into Dedham Square, where the driver blew through another red light and a stop sign, Ellis stated. After losing the Mustang in Dedham Square, Ellis soon spotted the same car fueling at . When confronted, Naman Jain, 29 of Norwood, told Ellis that he believed he could outrun the officer and was scared of being arrested, according to a police report.

Jain was charged with three counts of failure to stop at a red light, operating to endanger and failure to stop for police.
