Heartfelt News Conference Held at Norwood Skating Rink

Olympic figure skater Nancy Kerrigan joined others in the skating community to hold an impromptu press conference following the tragic mid-air collision in Washington D.C. According to reports, an Army helicopter and a descending airplane collided in mid year claiming the lives of 67, fourteen of whom were members of the skating community.

The Skating Club of Boston is located at 750 University Ave in Norwood and reported to be a facility frequented by those who were lost. CEO and Executive Director Doug Zeghibe released a statement reading in part “Our sport and this Club have suffered a horrible loss with this tragedy. Skating is a tight-knit community where parents and kids come together 6 or 7 days a week to train and work together.” -FC
