Library Trustee Will Leave Seat in April 2012
Library Trustee Stuart Plumer announces he will not run for the seat in April 2012.

Library Director Charlotte Canelli announced on Tuesday that Library Trustee Stuart Plumer will not run for reelection next April.
"There have been significant changes and progress in this Library during my thirty-three years on the Board, and I will leave knowing that the Library is in good hands and that its future is secure," Plumer said. "My service on the Board has been an inspiring commitment, and I thank the voters of the Town for entrusting the position to me."
A six member Board of Trustees for the library is elected to serve for three year terms each. The position is unpaid and includes establishing policies, approving expenditures, control over bequests, and delegating administration to the Director.

"I am making this announcement at this time in order to ensure that there will be candidates for the vacancy," Canelli said.
