Norwood To Hold Second Forum On Reopening Restaurants

The forum is open to local restaurant owners, managers and interested parties online on Thursday.

NORWOOD, MA — Norwood is holding the second part of its virtual forum with local restaurants about when they can open and how it will be done. The forum will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday.

The forum will be a discussion with local officials and restaurant owners on State provided reopening measures and how the town can help businesses safely reopen. This is a follow-up forum from the first restaurant focused business forum on May 27th.

Accessing the meeting on Thursday can be done by following the GoToMeeting information on Facebook. Outdoor dining will reopen at the beginning of phase two, while indoor dining will take place later in the phase, state officials said.

Gov. Charlie Baker said he will announce on June 6 when phase two begins. The decision will be made based on next week's public health data next. The earliest it can begin is June 8, according to the three-week minimum each phase has.
