Norwood Man Arrested for Allegedly Selling Marijuana

The 21-year-old was arrested in the area of Washington and Tremont streets Thursday evening.

Norwood Police arrested a local male for allegedly dealing Marijuana in the area of Washington and Tremont streets Thursday evening.

Officers Anthony Lopes and David Eysie arrested 21-year-old Kyle Ferrantino, of 31 St Joseph Avenue in Norwood, on one count of distribution of a class D substance (Marijuana).

"Officers Lopes and Eysie were assigned to plain clothes to work drug cases," Norwood Police spokesman Kevin Grasso said in a statement. "They were gathering drug intelligence and surveying known areas of drug trafficking."

Grasso said that at 9:22 p.m. the officers observed Ferrantino conduct a transaction "consistent with that of drug sales."

"Officers approached and investigated both persons involved," he said. "The two were cooperative with the investigation."
