Canton Police arrested a 26-year-old Norwood man for drug possession and driving under the influence Friday, according to the Canton police logs. At 5:01 p.m. police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Elm Street. Arrested on scene was Ronald D. Vater, 26, of 124 Lane Drive, Norwood. Vater was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of drugs as a second offense, possession of heroin, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, and a marked lanes violation.
