Norwood Police Log: Dec. 23-26

Highlights from the daily police logs.

Friday, Dec. 23

2:41 p.m. - Protesters outside the Norwood Post Office reported someone stole their pamphlets. Person who took them returned them to the station and stated she was very offended by them. Several people in to the station Friday stating the same thing. Police spoke to all parties involved.

3:28 p.m. - Caller reported a man got out of a van on Boston-Providence Highway and hit a woman inside the vehicle. Officers checked the area and found nothing.

Saturday, Dec. 24

1:02 a.m. - Caller on Washington St. reported two males in a vehicle doing drugs. Officers responded and placed Jonathon W. Cardas, of Mansfield, and Robert T. Flavin, of Union Springs, NY, for heroin possession.

9:46 a.m. - Walk-in to the department reported a hit and run on Washington St. Police filed a report.

12:25 p.m. - Walk-in to the department reported larceny of items from her father's home on Walpole St. Officer reported the issue a civil matter, estate dispute between family members.

10:06 p.m. - Caller reported an issue between two male patrons on Washington St. Responding officers filed a report.

Sunday, Dec. 25

2:48 p.m. - Officers responded to Fulton St. to speak with a party involved in a domestic incident. Police filed a report.

9:30 p.m. - Caller reported an uncapped syringe lying on the ground near Savin Ave. Responding officer disposed of syringe, and spoke to owner of vehicle parked near syringe and confirmed the syringe was used for insulin.

Monday, Dec. 26

6:01 p.m. - Norwood Housing found a male party on the ground on Nahatan St. The party was placed into protective custody. Police filed a report.

11:26 p.m. - Caller reported a domestic at an address on Neponset St. Officers responded and reported incident only verbal in nature. Police filed a report.
