Norwood Police Log: Drug Arrests, Assault Reported

Highlights from the daily police logs.

Thursday, May 24

11:13 a.m. - Walk-in to the department reported with an unknown male taking items from his property on Davis Ave. Officer spoke to the party.

12:28 p.m. - Caller on Washington St. reported parent picking up their child may be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. As a result police arrested David Charlebois, of Dedham, for two counts of possession of a class B substance.

3:39 p.m. - Caller at the Dellaria Salon on Broadway reported a baby raccoon running around and crying, appeared to be sick. Animal Control was notified and handled the call.

5:10 p.m. - Caller reported breaking and entering to a vehicle on River Ridge Rd. Police filed a report.

8:15 p.m. - Officer reported hit and run at Boston-Providence Highway and Union St. BOLO issued for the offending vehicle. Police filed a report.

9:22 p.m. - Caller reported drug law violation. As a result, police arrested Kyle C. Ferrantino, of Norwood, for distribution of a class D substance.

Friday, May 25

5:11 a.m. - Caller reported her 20-year-old daughter was assaulted by a male who attempted to drag her into an alleyway as she passed by. Officers took a description and issued a BOLO to all cars as well as Walpole PD and the MBTA.
