Norwood Police Log: Larceny, Assaults

Tuesday, July 3

7:12 a.m. - Caller reported hit and run on Day St. Police filed a report.

9:53 a.m. - Caller at Dedham Medical Association reported a past larceny. Police filed a report.

1:03 p.m. - Caller reported a possible drunk male at Washington and Walpole streets, walking into traffic and yelling at cars. Responding officers took one into protective custody.

4:30 p.m. - Walk-in to the department reported cell phone stolen at Norwood Hospital. Police filed a report.

6:29 p.m. - Caller on Railroad Ave. reported she is being assaulted in driveway, items taken from her. As a result, police arrested Christopher J. Reid, Jr., of Norwood, for assault and battery, intimidating a witness, and malicious destruction of property.

7:24 p.m. - Caller reported a fight at Lenox and Nahatan streets. Responding officers reported suspect left on the tracks, Norwood Fire transported victim to the hospital.

Wednesday, July 4

12:58 a.m. - Caller reported motor vehicle accident at Walpole and Fisher streets. Two vehicles towed from the scene. Police filed a report.

11:38 a.m. - Caller reported motor vehicle accident on Dean St. One vehicle towed from the scene. Light Department notified for struck light pole.

7:21 p.m. - Caller reported car damaged on George St. Responding officers filed a report.

8:37 p.m. - Caller reported dumpster fire on Coventry Ln. Norwood Fire handled the call.

10:04 p.m. - Police received a hang up call on Washington St. Responding officers requested an ambulance for injury, arrested Diane O. Sheehan, of Norwood, for assault and battery.
