Norwood Theater Raising Funds for Family Affected by Boston Marathon Bombing
The father of 8-year-old Martin William Richard is mourning the death of his son, while at the same time trying to help his wife and daughter recover from their injuries. The Norwood Theater is raising funds to help that family.

After the Boston Marathon bombings, many businesses were trying to find a way to help. And Susan Lewis, owner of the Norwood Theater, was trying to do just that.
The theater staff came across a charity that was happening through the Meetinghouse Bank in Dorchester. The bank is raising funds for the Richard family. The parents lost their 8-year-old son and the father is now trying to support his wife and daughter who are recovering from their injuries.

"When we came across this, the owner just came to me and said that we had to do something for this. We have to do something for this family," Erica McLaughlin said.
On Saturday, April 20, the North Shore Acappella will perform in concert. The theater will donate all proceeds from that event to the Richard Family Fund and will present the check to the bank during intermission.
