Norwood Woman Arrested for Allegedly Dealing Cocaine
A 40-year-old Norwood woman was arrested Friday for allegedly selling cocaine out of her apartment.

On Friday afternoon, police executed a search warrant on a Norwood apartment and arrested one woman for allegedly dealing cocaine out of the residence, Norwood Police said Monday morning.
Arrested on scene was Zaida Nancira Gonzalez, 40, of Norwood. She was charged with possession of a class B substance (cocaine), drug violation near a school zone, and possession of class B substance (cocaine) with the intent to distribute.
According to police logs, just before 4:00 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, police executed the search warrant for an apartment on the second floor of 25 St. John Ave. Norwood Police spokesman Kevin Grasso said that the warrant was based on, "...an investigation into transactions of cocaine sales taking place at this address."

"Through the execution of this warrant detectives did discover cocaine, some packaged for sales, monies and other items used for the drug sales," Grasso said.
Norwood Police detectives and other members of the Norfolk County Police Anti-Crime (NORPAC) Detectives Unit were on scene. This is the second alleged drug dealer arrest in Norwood since the start of 2012, the first occuring in January when a 31-year-old woman was out of a Sturtevant Ave. apartment.
