Obituary: Oulton A. Hues

Oulton A. Hues, 73, a longtime resident of Norwood and Edgartown, died accidentally in a plane crash in Brewster on Sunday, January 15. He was the husband of Jacqueline V. (Revnoff) Hues. Son of the late Oulton S. Hues and Marjorie E. (Crowner) Hues, he was born in Weymouth. He was educated in Quincy and Weymouth schools and graduated from Weymouth High School, Class of 1957. He also graduated from Northeastern University. He was a resident of Norwood since 1972 and Edgartown for many years. Mr. Hues was an Aviation Electronics Technician Petty Officer 2nd Class in the U.S. Navy, serving from 1957-1961. He was a manager and electrical engineer at Battelle Memorial Institute in Lexington for the past 10 years. Prior to that, he worked at Raytheon for 38 years. He was a member and Treasurer of the Quiet Birdmen, "Q.B.'s" at the Boston Hangar. He loved flying and died doing what he loved to do.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Hues is survived by his son, Oulton A. "O.J." Hues, Jr. and his wife Amy of Norwood, as well as his grandsons, Alexander and Nicholas Hues. He was the brother of Lynda Scartissi of Abington and Anita George of GA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
