Obituary: Rosemary Anne Menno

Rosemary Anne (Degnan) Menno, 86, died peacefully in her Norwood home on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts on October 1, 1925, she was the daughter of the late D. Francis and Grace (Morehouse) Degnan. She graduated from Dorchester High School for Girls with the class of 1943 and later graduated from Boston State College with the class of 1972. She has been a resident of Norwood, Massachusetts for the past 50 years moving there from Long Island, New York. Mrs. Menno worked for the Archdiocese of Boston teaching first grade at Saint Annes School in Readville, Massachusetts. She also taught second grade in the Sacred Heart School in Merrick, New York and worked as a Nurses Aid at the Charlwell Nursing Home in Norwood. She was a former Novice with the Sisters of St. Joseph in Framingham and was an active member of Saint Timothy's Church in Norwood.

Mrs. Menno was devoted to her family and especially to her grandchildren. Loving mother of Stephen R. and Patricia Menno of Mystic, CT and James V. and Susan Menno of Walpole. Cherished grandmother of Justin Menno, Adrienne Menno, Christin Menno, Lauren Menno, Evan Menno and Corey Menno. Great grandmother of Rosemary Christin Menno. Sister of John Degnan of Norwood, Ann Marie Paratore of Franklin and the late Francis "Buddy" Degnan.
