Pet of the Week: Spencer

Spencer is a very loving and friendly cat who wants to be the only pet in his new home. He is a little shy when he meets new people but quickly warms up. He loves to be brushed and to be around people.

Spencer lived with a dog when he was young and everything was fine. He was a strictly indoor cat and happy that way. But then everything changed when his former family got a new dog. The new dog relentlessly chased Spencer and even hurt him pretty seriously. Spencer took matters into his own hands and moved out. He went to a neighbor which would have been fine except the neighbor has other cats and Spencer does not get along with other cats. Spencer is 8 years old. He spends much of his time outdoors right now because of the other cats.

We are hopeful Spencer will remember how much he enjoys life as an indoor cat once he is the only pet. A home with a fenced yard or screened-in porch would be ideal for this nice mellow kitty. Mainly he just needs a family to love and care for him.
