Pets of the Week: Starlight and Ricky

Starlight and Ricky are best friends and we are in search of a family with room in their home and hearts for this adorable pair.

Starlight is the pretty tortie cat. She is about 1-2 years old. She is very sweet, gentle, mellow, outgoing, social and loves attention. Ricky is the beautiful fluffy orange Maine Coon type kitten, about 5 months old, who looks like he may grow into a big boy.

Starlight was rescued with a litter of newborn kittens. Her kittens had all been adopted and she was waiting patiently for a family. Ricky was a stray in a terrible neighborhood where thoughtless teenagers were mean to him. He was understandably cautious when he was first rescued. Starlight was just what he needed to feel safe, happy and to regain his confidence. They formed an instant bond that seemed to benefit both cats. Starlight and Ricky are an awesome pair. They are friendly, easy-going, gentle, happy, playful, affectionate cats who love people and love attention. While these cats spend tons of time cuddling together, one of our volunteers had to squish them together for this photo since they always run to us to be petted instead of sitting still for a photo opp.
