The NHL is becoming increasingly strict on hard hits, and it's causing some controversy.

Yesterday the NHL suspended Bruins left wing Brad Marchand for five games following a hit on the Vancouver Canucks' Sami Salo.
This isn't the first time Marchand has been penalized for a hit, but as a "repeat offender," NHL disciplinarian Brendan Shanahan came down hard on the 23-year-old player, to the disappointment of Bruins management.

For many this is a sign that the NHL is moving more and more towards stricter enforcement against violence on the ice. In a hockey town like Norwood, where residents have seen both victory and tragedy in the rink, we want to know your thoughts.
