Road to Milan Starts in Boston at the Skating’s Elite Summer Sizzler on August 14th
Showcase at The Skating Club of Boston kicks off Olympic season and features skaters brand new programs
U.S. Figure Skating, the national governing body for the sport of figure skating in the United States, and The Skating Club of Boston, New England’s premier figure skating club and training center, will be hosting a unique, summer skating show featuring top skaters in the U.S as they head into the 2025-2026 Olympic season. These Team USA athletes, including four World Champions, will be previewing a mix of their new programs.
The event will take place on Thursday, August 14th at 7 p.m. at the Tenley E. Albright Performance Center at The Skating Club of Boston in Norwood, Massachusetts. Tickets are on sale now and range from $50-$125.
Featured skaters include two-time World champion Ilia Malinin, 2025 World champion Alysa Liu, three-time World Champions Madison Chock and Evan Bates (ice dance), two-time U.S. champion Amber Glenn and Olympian Jason Brown. Local skaters 2025 U.S. Champions Alisa Efimova and Misha Mitrofanov and three-time U.S. pewter medalist Max Naumov will also perform.

These skaters will be in the Boston area for U.S. Figure Skating’s “Champs Camp,” the annual training camp for elite Team USA athletes.
“For the second straight year, the Summer Sizzler will give fans an early look at the preparation and programs of our top U.S. skaters,” said Matt Farrell, CEO of U.S. Figure Skating. “This behind-the-scenes opportunity will serve as the perfect kick start to an incredible season as we look toward the 2026 Olympic Winter Games in Milan.”

“From hosting the World Championships to kicking off the Olympic skating season, Boston has been the center of the sport this last year and we don’t want our local fans to miss this opportunity,” said Doug Zeghibe, CEO and Executive Director of The Skating Club of Boston. “We held the first Summer Sizzler last year and it was so successful and the skaters loved trying out their programs in front of a passionate and supportive crowd that we knew we had to do it again, especially heading into this Olympic season.”
