Two Men Arrested for Distribution of Heroin, Cocaine

Norwood Police made two arrests after conducting several undercover purchases this week.

Norwood Police arrested two men on Wednesday for alleged distribution of Heroin and Cocaine after conducting several undercover purchases this week, according to a police statement issued Thursday.

Officer David Eysie and Detectives assigned to the Norfolk County Police Anti-Crime (NORPAC) Drug Task Force arrested 59-year-old Michael Vitiello, of Washington St. in Norwood, and 35-year-old Nelson Castro, of Jamaica Plain, for distribution of class A and B substances.

The arrests were made on Dean St. just before 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

Vitiello was charged with two counts of distribution of a class A (Heroin) and one count of distribution of a class B (Cocaine). Detectives identified Castro as the drug supplier for Vitiello and placed him under arrest for distribution of a class A (Heroin), distribution of a class B (Cocaine) and operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license.

Both suspects were expected to be arraigned at Dedham District Court today.
