Victim with gunshot wound leaves neighborhood stunned

Norwood Police searching for answers after victim was found to have suffered a gunshot wound in the early morning hours

NORWOOD - Police say there's no ongoing threat to the public after a victim was found with a gunshot wound.

Just after 2AM on September 9th, Norwood communication center received several calls of gunfire in the area of Norwest Drive. NPD officers responded and canvassed the area and found the victim in the Prospect St area.

The victim was transported to a Boston trauma center for treatment.

The crime scene was later identified to be at the intersection of Irving and Blossom. Norwood Police is asking for the public's help who may have seen/heard or who may have video footage that may assist with this case.
