WATCH: Norwood Antique Store Tracks Down Mystery Viral Pianist
The owner of the store found the young man whose piano skills in the store went viral on the internet.
NORWOOD, MA — A Norwood antique store was the site of a viral video when a mysterious pianist brought his talent to the shop's old piano and was caught on video jamming out to Journey's "Don't Stop Believin." The shop owner was so impressed that he tracked the man down with plans to donate the piano to him.
ReMARKable Cleanouts in Norwood handles estate sales and home clean outs and sells antique items at the store located at 61 Endicott Street. Store owner Mark Waters posted the video on Facebook of a man who came into the shop and started playing piano over the weekend. The post read, "Young man asked permission to play and I asked permission to post the video —it’s a great day here at the mill!"
The video quickly went viral as viewers offered help tracking the man down to buy him the piano. Facebook users and Newsweek identified the man as John Thomas Archer and by Wednesday morning, he was reunited with Waters and the piano that started it all.

Waters and Archer took a photo together and Archer played some more tunes on the piano for Waters to post on Facebook. Waters didn't explicitly say whether Archer accepted the piano as a gift or if he'll just be coming by the shop more often to play, but he did publish a cheeky post on Facebook saying, "Do we know anyone who can deliver a piano to a 4th floor? Asking for a friend."

Archer told Newsweek he was happy to see his playing get such a positive response as he usually doesn't perform very often.
