Weekend Police Logs: Jan. 20-22

Friday, Jan. 20

10:48 a.m. - Caller on Everett St. reported someone hit her fence overnight. A neighbor witnessed the accident and spoke to the operator, but the information does not appear to be correct. Officers will investigate further.

2:28 p.m. - Caller on Railroad Ave. reported a drunk female hit a tree in the driveway with a motor vehicle. Driver was gone upon officers' arrival. BOLO issued.

5:53 p.m. - Caller on Washington St. reported a female stopped by her house unannounced and threatened her. Police filed a report.

6:59 p.m. - Caller reported motor vehicle accident at Papa Gino's on Nahatan St. Police and fire responded, drivers exchanged information.

10:53 p.m. - Caller at the Starr Program on Winter St. reported malicious damage. Police filed a report.

Saturday, Jan. 21

10:52 a.m. - Caller reported a motor vehicle accident on Chapel St. Stated car into guardrail. One vehicle was towed from the scene.

2:14 p.m. - Caller reported motor vehicle into a jersey barrier on Boston-Providence Highway. Minor damage reported, officer followed vehicle back to residence.

2:55 p.m. - Caller reported motor vehicle accident on University Ave. Stated car into telephone pole. One vehicle towed from the scene.

5:39 p.m. - Caller on Plymouth Dr. reported an assault. As a result, police arrested Johnny Janica, of Norwood, for assault and battery.

10:13 p.m. - Caller on Rock St. reported he was punched in the face. As a result, police arrested Chadwick C. Miller, of Norwood, for battery.

Sunday, Jan. 22

1:00 p.m. - Caller reported hit and run on Neponset St. Police are investigating the incident.

2:24 p.m. - Caller at Building 19 3/4 on Boston-Providence Highway reported shoplifter. Officer obtained identification, store to file complaint.
