The white Christmas ideal may be confined to dreams this year, as the National Weather Service is predicting fairly mild temperatures and sun for this weekend. Rain Friday morning will give way to a cooler night, low temperatures around 21 degrees, the NWS predicts. Saturday, Christmas Eve, will be sunny but cold, high temperatures below freezing, and Christmas day temperatures jump back up into the 40's. Sunday night there is a possibility of precipitation, rain or snow, before 8:00 p.m.
