ZBA Approves Medical Marijuana Project
The 4-1 vote allows for the first medical marijuana facility in Norwood to open.

NORWOOD, MA — Middlesex Integrative Medicine (MIM) has the zoning board of appeals' blessing to move forward with a medical marijuana facility on Astor Avenue.
The 4-1 vote allows for the first medical marijuana facility in Norwood to open, despite early concerns that it will be located near the Goldfish Swim School and Velocity Sports. Opponents argued that the location violated a rule that required medical marijuana facilities to be at least 500 feet away from schools, according to the Norwood Transcript and Bulletin.
Norwood is slated to receive up to $300,000 a year from the business. MIM also faces a review with the police department a year after they open.
