$32K MA Cultural Grants Available To Peabody Civic Groups, Individuals
Peabody organizations and individuals are encouraged to apply for the Mass Cultural Council grants.
PEABODY, MA — Peabody organizations, schools and individuals are encouraged to apply for 2026 Mass Cultural Council grants, which can support exhibits, classes, festivals, field trips, short-term artist residencies, performances in schools, workshops, and lectures.
This year's allocation of funds from Mass Cultural Council for Peabody Projects is $32,600. The deadline for submitting applications is Oct. 16.
The Peabody Cultural Council is part of a network of 329 Local Cultural Councils serving all 351 cities and towns in the Commonwealth. The state legislature provides an annual appropriation to the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency, which then allocates funds to each community.

Mass Cultural Council is using an online application system, called SmartSimple. Applicants can slog in, set up an account, and submit their application here.
Applicants are encouraged to refer to the Mass Cultural Council website to learn more about the MCC LCC Program Guidelines, the Local Cultural Council Priorities, or to sign up to attend an information session on the new system before submitting

Previously funded Peabody Cultural Council projects include: the Peabody Summer Concerts on the Commons, The Peabody International Festival, painting, theater, and woodcarving classes for seniors, an instrument lending program for children, in- school workshops, school field trips to the Peabody Essex Museum, to the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and to theatrical performances throughout the region, and many other projects.
