Black Friday Fainting, Halloween Decorations, and More From the Peabody Police Log
A Halloween decoration gone awry, suspicious Facebook posts, and more from Friday, Nov. 18 to Friday, Nov. 25.

- Officers responded to a report of a car with a hand sticking out of the trunk on Andover Street on a Friday afternoon earlier this month. Police spoke to the driver, who had a novelty fake hand from Halloween attached to the truck. The owner agreed to remove the hand.
- Walisson Silva Oliveira, 33, of Somerville, was arrested on charges of driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop on Newbury Street last week.
- Barry L. Matthews, 69, of Danvers, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct Saturday night after a Summit Street business called police to report an unruly customer.
- Oscard A. Choc, 40, of Revere, was arrested from Newbury Street on Monday last week on charges of unlicensed driving and failing to stop or yield.
- Someone called police to Kenwood Road on Tuesday morning to report a person passed out behind the wheel. Officers found the person was just texting.
- On Tuesday afternoon, police arrested Nichole M. Hernandex, 30, of Malden, and Ricardo F. Diaz, 37, of Revere from the Northshore Mall on charges of receiving stolen property over $250, and two counts of possession of a burglarious instrument. Diaz was also charges with possession of a class C drug.
- Ervin Ramirez, 30, of Lynn, was arrested on Newbury Street on Tuesday night on charges of unlicensed driving, failing to stop or yield, and failing to drive in the right lane.
- A man will be summonsed after he allegedly kicked in the front door of Sylvan Street Grille, shattering the glass around 1 a.m. on Wednesday.
- Jason Cercone, 35, of Peabody, was arrested on charges of two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon after a disturbance on Central Street on Wednesday morning.
- Someone called police to report that a goose may have been hit by a car on Lowell Street on Wednesday. Officers could not find the goose.
- David F. Johanson, 51, of Boxford, was arrested on Wednesday night on charges of violating an abuse prevention order on Summit Street.
- Nehemias O. Pojoydeleon, 26, of Lynn, was arrested on charges of unlicensed driving on Pierpont Street late Wednesday night.
- Jesse Joseph Meharg, 27, of Peabody, was arrested around 3 a.m. Thursday on charges of disturbing the peace, assault and battery on a household member, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and strangulation.
- Someone called police on Thanksgiving Day to report that her friend may not be having a good day, according to some of her Facebook posts. Police say all is good.
- Someone fainted near the American Eagle Outfitters in the Northshore Mall around 1 a.m. on Friday, but refused medical attention and said she was fine.
