No One For President: 390 Votes in Peabody

Around 1 percent, or 390 voters in Peabody did not fill out the presidential option this election cycle.

PEABODY, MA – Gov. Charlie Baker was not the only one that couldn't bring himself to pick a president. Three hundred and ninety ballots in Peabody were left blank at the presidential option, according to preliminary numbers.

Hillary Clinton ultimately won Tanner City with 14,385 votes, outpacing the 12,029 ballots for Donald Trump, but roughly 1 percent didn't make a decision. Additionally, 504 people wrote in a candidate.

Baker told reporters it was the first time he didn't fill out the presidential option after he voted in Swampscott on Tuesday.

Also in Peabody, City Councilor-At-Large Anne Manning-Martin lost the Essex County Sheriff's race to Lynn Police Chief Kevin Coppinger.

Voter turnout was at about 75 percent in Peabody in the 2016 election cycle: 28,532 people cast a ballot according to the unofficial results.
