Breaking Grounds to Open Tuesday
The Coffee Experiment's reincarnation, Breaking Grounds, will have a soft opening for the public on Tuesday.

PEABODY, MA – Peabody Square has got new sidewalks, new traffic lights, and now it's got a new coffee shop. Breaking Grounds will open to the public on Tuesday morning after transforming from the Coffee Experiment to Northeast Arc's latest venture in social change.
Last month, Northeast Arc announced that they would take over the Coffee Experiment at 67 Main St., which was run by Jaho Coffee and Tea over the summer as a way for the city to gauge public interest in a local cafe. Breaking Grounds will continue Northeast Arc's work by training people with disabilities to work in the food industry and customer services. Arc's clients will receive paid training at the cafe for a few months before seeking other jobs with the help of the organization.
The soft opening will include a full coffee and espresso bar, smoothies, unique soft drinks, pastries, and sweets. Breaking Grounds will brew Barrington Roasters beans of Lee, Mass., and will have items from Henry's in Beverly and Phat Cats in Amesbury.

Thursdays and Fridays: 7 a.m. - 9 p.m.
