Breckenridge Foundation Tops $40K In Donations To Honor Late Peabody Police Officer
This year's annual golf fundraiser drew a record turnout despite the heat at The Meadow at Peabody Golf Course.

PEABODY, MA — A record turnout braved the extreme heat and humidity to honor the memory of late Peabody police officer Henry Breckenridge at The Meadow at Peabody Golf Course last week.
Breckenridge, who died unexpectedly following a routine surgery two years ago, left a legacy of commitment to his hometown of Peabody that he delivered with a joyous spirit.
All proceeds from the Tournament went directly to the Henry R. Breckenridge Foundation, whose mission is to support organizations and individuals that promote the qualities Henry exemplified throughout his impactful life.

Following a day of challenging play and hot weather, the tournament culminated in an awards ceremony, raffle and lunch at the AOH in Peabody.
"We are absolutely thrilled with the overwhelming success of this year’s tournament," said Danielle Breckenridge, Henry’s sister-in-law and Foundation board member. "This is the second year we have run this, and the passion and generosity shown by everyone involved just continues to be inspiring. Every dollar raised will directly benefit our community, especially our scholarship recipients.”

Since its inception in 2023, the Henry R. Breckenridge Foundation has been able to give back nearly $40,000 to the local Peabody community in the form of scholarships and donations in his honor.
This year, two Bishop Fenwick High School graduates (TJ Perillo, Lincoln Dugan) and four Peabody High School graduates (Ally Bettencourt, Anthony Silva, Madison Barrett, Jackson O’Brien) received a total of $15,000 in scholarships towards their secondary education.

Organizers wished to extend their deepest gratitude to all the sponsors, volunteers, and participants who made the 2025 Henry R. Breckenridge Charitable Golf Tournament a resounding success.
"Their commitment ensures that this cherished event continues to make a meaningful difference in Peabody for years to come," organizers said.
