Brooksby Village Arts and Crafts Fair Raises Thousands for Scholars Fund
The 13th annual fair raised money for student employees at Brooksby Village who plan to go to college or trade school next year.

PEABODY, MA – The Brooksby Village Scholars Fund, which helps student employees at Brooksby Village go to college and trade school, raised over $4,000 at the 13th annual Arts and Crafts Fair.
Handmade jewelry, art, soaps, and knitted, crocheted, and sewn items were sold by 33 crafters, many of whom live at Brooksby Village. Fifteen percent of admission, proceeds from raffle items, and vendor sales went to the fund.
Student employees at Brooksby Village who plan to go to college or an accredited trade school beginning fall 2017, and have worked at the continuing care retirement community during their junior and senior year, and put in 1,000 hours of work are eligible to received a total of $5,000 over four years of college through the Scholars Fund.
