PEABODY, MA – North Andover High School Student Julia Strangie took these photos of the Veterans Day ceremony in Peabody.

"It was an honor to host over 400 veterans and their family members at City Hall," said Peabody Mayor Ted Bettencourt after the event. We owe them a great debt of gratitude and we are forever grateful for their service and sacrifice."

Friday's event – the city's biennial Veterans Day breakfast – gave special commemorations to veterans of the Vietnam War. Veterans in attendance were given a challenge coin with an image of the George Peabody House on one side, and the Vietnam War Memorial on the other.
