City Announces 33rd Annual International Festival Date

Come out for a great time in town.

The City of Peabody announced the date and details on the 33rd Annual International Festival:

The North Shore’s signature cultural celebration is quickly approaching. Eat your way around the world by making your way down to Peabody Square on September 11th between 12:00 - 6:00 p.m. The City of Peabody’s 33rd Annual International Festival will feature cuisine that derives from regions across the globe and make up the Peabody community’s rich ethnic heritage.

With many event favorites returning for another year, the International Festival is also excited to be welcoming many new booths into the fold. While food is a major staple of the event, there will also be non-stop entertainment and a Kid’s Day program.

Kid’s Day will take place at East End Veterans Memorial Park on Walnut Street from 12:00 - 6:00 p.m. will include several programs and activities for all ages!

Festival season begins days before the actual event as community members and others from around the nation gather to raise money for research and treatment options for children with progeria. The Progeria Research Foundation’s 15th Annual International Race for Research takes place on Saturday September 10th at Leather City Commons.To register online visit www.prfroadrace.org or by calling (978)-535-2594.
