Driver Hospitalized After Crash With School Bus on Route 128
State police responded to the scene of the crash between an SUV and a school bus on Route 128 at 11:05 a.m.

are investigating a school bus crash that occurred this morning on Route 128 North in Danvers, resulting in a 24-year-old being transferred to the hospital.
At 11:03 a.m. state police in Danvers were notified of a two-vehicle crash, involving a sport utility and a bus with no students aboard, on the northbound side of the highway near Exit 23 (Route 35), according to state police spokesman Dave Procopio.
"The driver of the 2000 Toyota 4Runner SUV, a 24-year-old Lynn resident, was transported to Beverly Hospital for evaluation for possible injuries," Procopio said. "The 2009 Blue Bird bus was operated by a 68-year-old Peabody man, who was not injured."

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Police did not say what school district the bus is affiliated with.
