From Oct. 27 to Oct. 30: People in costumes, malicious leaf blowing, and fraud in Delaware.

  • Officers arrested Sophie M. Katende, 27, of Salem on charges of shoplifting over $100 worth of merchandise on Thursday around 7 p.m. after a store on Andover Street called police. Police arrested Stacy Barbosa Monteiro, 32, of Boston shortly after on the same charge at the same store.
  • Samantha R. Annello, 38, of Peabody, was arrested on charges of two counts of assault and battery on a person over 60 years old and one count of malicious destruction of property on Friday after a caller reported a woman yelling for someone to call 911.
  • Officers responded to a report of "people in costumes" in the area of Jennings Circle on Friday night, but they were gone before police arrived.
  • Someone reported to police that a person in Delaware tried to open a credit card in his name on Friday.
  • Police arrested Geoffrey S. Carlson, 31, of Peabody, on charges of assault and battery on a household member after a seven-second screaming 911 call was made on Sunday around noon.
  • Police responded to a call of a person "using a leaf blower to maliciously blow leaves" onto another property on Sunday around 6 p.m. Officers report the concerns were unfounded.
