Famed Brazilian Steakhouse To Open 3rd MA Location In Northshore Mall

Fogo de Chão management said a lease was signed for a 6,184-square-foot restaurant in Peabody.

PEABODY, MA — A popular international upscale Brazilian steakhouse known for its churrasco dining experience involving table-carved meats will soon open a third Massachusetts location at the Northshore Mall in Peabody.

Fogo de Chão management said a lease was signed for a 6,184-square-foot restaurant and that the restaurant will open this year. The new Fogo restaurant will join existing Massachusetts locations in Boston and Burlington.

Fogo de Chão opened its first U.S. location 27 years ago and has been in the Boston market for the past 13 years.

"Peabody's unique blend of tradition and modernity makes it the perfect setting for our approachable dining experience," Fogo de Chão Chief Executive Officer Barry McGowan said. "We look forward to providing both local residents and visitors with exceptional service and an unforgettable culinary journey.

The Peabody restaurant will feature a large dining room centered around an open churrasco grill with a 360-degree view of gaucho chefs demonstrating the churrasco culinary art by butchering, grilling, and hand-carving meats over an open flame. The Market Table will feature seasonal salads, cured meats, and antipasti.

There will also be a bar and dry-aged meat lockers that display ribeye and other featured cuts aged for a minimum of 42 days.
