Jerry Garcia Allegedly Threatens Woman with a Tire Iron

Peabody, MA - A 26-year-old Peabody man is facing multiple assault charges after allegedly threatening a woman with a tire iron on Sunday evening.

Jerry R. Garcia, 26, of 10 Northend Street, #2 in Peabody was arrested and charged with two counts of threatening to commit a crime and five counts of assault with a dangerous weapon (tire jack).

A little after 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, police got a call from a woman on Northend Street who told them that Garcia was returning from Salem and was going to damage her car with a tire iron.

There were additional reports that Garcia was allegedly on the scene making threats with a knife or other metal object and then fled the scene in a black Honda.

Police stopped Garcia on Central Street, where he was arrested.
