The following are excerpts from reports in the Peabody Police Department press log.
Wednesday, April 3
At 2:06 p.m., a caller on Donegal Road reported finding a Silky Terrier, neutered male, running loose without a collar. The yorkie was was taken to Borash for 7-day hold. The microchip was registered with New England Pet Center in Canton, which is no longer in business, and the owner never registered the chip.
At 2:24 p.m., a caller reported that his girlfriend made threats to harm herself after losing custody of her children. Police contacted the person in question, and she was staying with a friend and was fine.

At 4:30 p.m., a caller on Veterans Memorial Drive reported that his car was broken into.
At 7:01 p.m., a caller on Randall Road reported one of his tires was slashed.

Thursday, April 4
At 3:18 p.m., there was a vehicle accident on Lowell Street. There were no major injuries reported.
At 5:36 p.m., Victoria's Secret reported two shoplifters, a male with a black and white fedora and a female in a purple skirt. Frank Maio, 54, of 16 Winona St., Peabody, was charged with shoplifting.
At 7:16 p.m., AT&T reported a past larceny of $1,400 of cell phone accessories.
At 10:13 p.m., a resident reported that she was accosted by a male while attempting to enter her driveway, and she immediately left the area. An officer assisted her in getting into her house, and the man was gone.
At 10:46 p.m., there was a dispute between a husband reported on Mandalay Drive. Paul Canning, 52, of 23 Mandalay Drive, Peabody, was charged with domestic assault.
Friday, April 5
At 12:12 a.m., there was a fire on Lynn Street. A porch was on fire. The Fire Department was able to extinguish the fire, and all parties were evacuated.
At 9:27 a.m., William Grasso, 41, of 24 Westford St., Saugus, was charged with possession of a class E substance.
At 1:59 p.m., a resident of Elizabeth Lane reported that he was being harassed by his neighbor.
