Live & Learn Courses Continue at Brooksby Village

Free classes have proved their staying power at Brooksby Village.

PEABODY, MA – You're never too old to learn: That's the lesson people can take from the staying power of Live & Learn courses at Brooksby Village.

"Years ago, a group of residents and staff came together to talk about ways to increase the number of educational opportunities offered at Brooksby Village," said Jennifer Smith-Petersen, Community Resources Coordinator at Brooksby Village. "Residents expressed how interested they are in continuing their life-long learning, most especially from the comfort of their Brooksby Village home. From these meetings, Live & Learn was created and all of the classes offered are taught by people who live at Brooksby Village."

This semester, residents of Brooksby Village can take Best American Short Stories 2015, Beginner's Digital Camera Practical Use and Theory, Introduction to Beginner Piano, Learn to Make a Lampshade, Phishing for Phools, Poetry I Love, Learn to Play Cribbage, and Nature of Disease.
