Man Severely Injured in Lynnfield St. Motorcycle Accident

The accident occurred at 4 p.m. Friday.

A 23-year-old male was taken by medical helicopter to a Boston hospital Friday afternoon.

Shortly before 4 p.m., Peabody Police and Fire responded to Lynnfield Street and 1st Avenue for an accident involving a motor cycle and truck.

According to scanner reports the accident was a "high speed accident" in which the motorcyclist crashed into the side of the truck.

The motorcyclist is said to have suffered "severe" injuries, including a broken femur bone. He was conscious as Medflight arrived, according to reports. 

The medical helicopter landed at Analogic on Centennial Drive. Traffic was diverted off of Lynnfield Street as crews cleared the scene but is now moving.
