Multiple Injuries In Peabody, Danvers Car Crashes

Rescue workers called advanced life support to two Peabody crashes, while, separately, a car crashed into the Danvers Walgreen's store.

PEABODY, MA —Rescue workers in Peabody and Danvers responded to three, separate car crashes Thursday afternoon, with two of the crashes resulting in calls for advanced life support.

In the first incident just before 1 p.m., a car driven by a 73-year-old Peabody man hit a 73-year-old Danvers woman walking in the parking lot of the Century House restaurant on Andover Street. The victim, who sustained head and leg injuries after being run over by a car, was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Other details were not immediately available.

Around the same time, a car crashed into a brick pillar near the entrance of the Walgreen's store on High Street in Danvers. The elderly, male driver of the car was treated for minor injuries at the scene, and the building inspector was called to make sure the building was safe for occupancy.

Then around 3:30 p.m., a car crash near Capone's Restaurant & Lunge on Summit Street in Peabody left two people with serious injuries, according to scanner reports. Advanced life support was called for one of the victim, who was having seizures.
