North Shore, Greater Boston Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued
Winds up to 60 miles per hour with penny-sized hail are possible.

PEABODY, MA — A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for parts of the North Shore and much of Greater Boston on Wednesday night.
The warning extends from Peabody on the North Shore through much of eastern Middlesex County and Greater Boston and on to the South Shore to Hingham through 8:15 p.m.
The National Weather Service said the large line of storms is capable of producing winds up to 60 miles per hour and penny-sized hail.

A Special Marine Warning is also in effect for the waters off the North Shore into Boston Harbor with winds greater than 34 knots and pea-sized hail possible.
The storm threat was expected to last into the evening hours with drying conditions overnight into Thursday.
