Nuisance Turkey; Armed Robbery at Newbury Street Motel: Peabody Police

Monday, March 21

A 2:53 p.m., someone on Caller Street reported getting threatening phone calls.

At 3:07 p.m., there was a report of medication stolen during an open house on Forest Street.

At 5:02 p.m., there was a report of youths playing basketball in the street on Northend Street blocking the caller's driveway. The youths were advised to keep the ball out of the neighbor's yard.

At 6:18 p.m., there was a motor vehicle accident on Andover Street.

At 6:21 a.m., a guest at a motel on Newbury Street reported being robbed at knifepoint by two people. A cellphone was stolen.

At 8:32 p.m., there was a motor vehicle accident on Central Street. One passenger was taken by ambulance to Salem Hospital.

Tuesday, March 22

At 7:16 a.m., there was a motor vehicle accident on Walnut Street.

At 11:12 a.m., there was a complaint about a nuisance turkey on Brentwood Drive. The animal control officer advised that there was nothing animal control could do about nuisance wildlife and advised the caller to contact Mass Wildlife for tips on how to deal with the wild turkeys.

At 12:53 p.m., police arrested David M. Hardiman, 48, of 3 Ledgwood Way in Peabody and charged him with speeding, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and using a motor vehicle without authority.
