Over $1,700 in Tools Stolen from Vehicle

The following information was provided by the Peabody Police Department. Where charges are mentioned, it doesn't indicate a conviction.

The following are excerpts from reports in the Peabody Police Department press log from May 31 - June 2.

Friday, May 31

  • 4:37 p.m. Denise M. Hagemeister, 48, of 41 Spinale Rd., Swampscott, was arrested, following a report of a shoplifting at JC Penney involving $213 in merchandise. She was charged with one count of shoplifting by concealing merchandise.
  • 5:52 p.m. A 23-year-old Lynn woman was issued a court summons for shoplifting and was given a no trespassing order at the Northshore Mall property, following a report of a shoplifting at Macy's.

Saturday, June 1

  • 1:49 a.m. a caller reported a group of kids on a basketball court at Symphony Park. The group was sent on their way. 
  • 8:06 p.m. a caller reported that 30 of her neighbor's chickens got loose in her yard on Johnson Street. 
  • 8:36 a.m. a caller reported that her vehicle was broken into after it was parked at a construction site recently. Roughly $1,700 in tools were stolen.
  • 8:42 a.m. A caller on Willowbrae Drive reported there was a large snapping turtle in her front yard and it might be injured.
  • 12:30 p.m. A Lynnfield Street resident reported an unknown person stole an $80 leaf blower and a pair of car ramps from his driveway.
  • 9:53 p.m. Eber Ramirez, 30, of 70 Walnut St. #3, Lynn, was arrested, following a motor vehicle stop at Sonic on Route 1. He was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, speeding and improper turning.
  • 10:20 p.m. A 27-year-old Lynn man was issued a court summons for larceny, following a report of a theft by an employee at Rizzo's Roast Beef.

Sunday, June 2

  • 1:43 a.m. Christopher J. Noble, 25, of 17 Barnes Cir., Salem, was arrested, following a motor vehicle stop on Fulton Street. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding. 
  • 6:15 a.m. An employee at the Gaeta's at 286 Newbury St. reported someone spray-painted his truck with pink paint while it was parked overnight at the gas station.
  • 12:20 p.m. An officer issued a written warning to a 24-year-old Beverly woman for a red light violation on Lowell Street and also confiscated marijuana that was in the possession of one of the passengers. The officer said he would destroy it.
