What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
Development and maintaining a high quality of life for all of the residents of Peabody. Development cannot just be for growth, there needs to be a balance and residents needs and quality of life is always the first priority.
Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform:
I think as elected official it is extremely important to be responsive, understanding and compassionate to residents needs. I have been and will always be an advocate for our residents.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
One of the biggest accomplishments while I was on the School Committee was building the new Higgins middle school. I was on the Higgins building committee as well as the School Committee, and that project was on budget and on time. As a Councilor the past 2 years one of the most important improvements was to our water infrastructure. This project is to improve our water quality and improve the ability to maintain our own water source for years to come. I am also currently a member of these sub committees finance, joint school committee/ city council, drug awareness committee, and the industrial and community development committee.
The best advice ever shared with me was ...
Be yourself, use your strong work ethic to strive for excellence. Be a good listener and as an elected official always try to do what’s best for the city and it’s residents.
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I am open, honest, hardworking responsive and understanding of residents needs. Performing home care Physical Therapy I see the struggles and strained some families face with any tax increase. Having kids go through our school system and being a former School Committee member I under the needs of our schools. I am committed to Peabody. I committed to work tirelessly to make Peabody a great place to live and to raise a family.
