Peabody Country Music Bar Closes To Make Way For Brew Pub
Owners of Stanzy's Country Ranch said gift cards will be honored at The Rivalry in Salem.
PEABODY, MA — A Peabody whiskey bar and restaurant promoted as "North of Boston's 1st & Only Live Country Music Bar & Scratch Kitchen" has closed to make way for a new brewpub on Main Street.
The owners of Stanzy's Country Ranch said in a message to customers that they had sold the restaurant to the building's landlord at the O'Shea Building at 1 Main Street.
"After much consideration and soul searching we decided that selling Stanzy's to our amazing landlord to follow his dream was the right thing to do," the owners said in a message on the business's Facebook account. "Having said that, we cannot thank our local community enough for the years of loyalty and patronize at Stanzy's.

"After only being open for eight weeks and then being shut down by COVID, we could not have foreseen all the memories and relationships we made on this amazing journey."
Stanzy's owners said the remaining gift cards will be honored at both the new pub opening in its place and at Stanzy's sister restaurant The Rivalry Lounge in Salem. Those who use them at The Rivalry will receive an additional 25 percent off on top of the gift card value.
