Peabody Earns Urban Landscape Honor For 23rd Time

The Arbor Day Foundation recognized Peabody for its commitment to urban forestry.

PEABODY, MA — Peabody has been recognized for its urban canopy for the 23rd time with a 2024 Tree City USA Community designation from the Arbor Day Foundation.

"Trees play a vital role in our community, offering beauty, shade, and a boost to our local environment," Mayor Ted Bettencourt said. "This recognition shows our dedication to keeping Peabody healthy and thriving."

The Tree City USA program is sponsored by the Arbor Day Foundation in cooperation with the National Association of State Foresters and the USDA Forest Service.
