Peabody Main Street Closed As Crews Battle Fire At Pizza Shop: Police

PEABODY, MA — Main Street in Peabody was shut down temporarily on Friday afternoon as crews battled a downtown fire, Peabody police said at about 12:30 p.m.

Peabody fire crews were battling a blaze in the Main Street building that houses the popular pizza shop Santoro's on Friday, according to multiple emergency services reports.

Emergency services reports said the working fire was in the walls at the Santoro's Pizza building at 41 Main Street.

Engine 5 said all crews were released from the scene at about 2 p.m.
