Peabody Firefighters Still on Scene at Fifth Street Factory Fire
This was an incredibly large fire.

The fire that claimed the styrofoam factory on Fifth Street on Tuesday burned into Thursday morning, with Peabody Firefighters still keeping an eye out for hotspots.

Peabody Deputy Fire Chief Richard Nelson told the Boston Globe that this was the longest fire he’d battled in his career.
The fire was reported around 3:30 p.m., and the factory was evacuated, as were all of the neighboring buildings. There were no reports of injuries.
